As the Parker family was gearing up for fall family photos, Mama Meghan and I discussed the old tried and true: photo shoots work better when kids are comfortable in front of the camera.

Around 4 p.m. on Halloween afternoon, it dawned on me: costumes are the perfect excuse to take pictures (especially when you go all out like the Parkers) and get the kiddos used to the gal running around with a camera.

The last-minute 💡 paid off, and I even stayed to trick-or-treat for a bit and catch a few action shots while we had daylight.
